Weekly Weather Summary for London

In the week ahead, London is set to experience predominantly dry weather with varying degrees of cloud cover. Temperatures will remain uncharacteristically high for the city, ranging from a minimum of 18°C to a maximum of 36°C. With humidity fluctuating between 38% and 48%, the week promises to be warm but relatively comfortable thanks to the moderate-to-strong winds that will be prevalent throughout. Please see below for a daily snapshot of the upcoming weather and additional advice.

Monday: The week begins with partly cloudy conditions all day. Expect temperatures to rise to a high of 32°C and fall to a low of 18°C. Humidity will hover around 46%, with no chance of precipitation. Winds will be brisk at 24 mph, offering some relief from the sun’s heat.

Tuesday: Weather conditions will remain much the same as Monday. The skies will be partly cloudy, with temperatures identical to the previous day—maxing at 32°C and dipping to just 18°C. Humidity will slightly lessen to 41%, and winds will slow to 19 mph.

Wednesday: A clear day is ahead, with temperatures climbing to a high of 34°C and dropping to a low of 20°C. Despite the rise in temperature, the humidity level will remain comfortable at 42%, with extremely low chances of rain. Winds will be gentler at 11 mph.

Thursday: Expect initial cloud cover to clear by the afternoon. The mercury is forecasted to peak at 36°C, making it the warmest day of the week, and bottom at 22°C. Humidity will drop to 40%, but precipitation chances will edge up to 16%. Winds will continue at 17 mph.

Friday: The day will be partly cloudy with a high of 33°C and a low of 21°C. Humidity will slightly rise to 48%, with persistent, though low, rain chances at 16%. Winds will pick up again, reaching speeds of 23 mph.

Saturday: The day may begin with cloud coverage, but skies are expected to clear by afternoon. The maximum temperature will be 32°C, with a minimum of 21°C. Humidity will be at its lowest for the week, at 38%, with a negligible 3% chance of precipitation. Winds will maintain a steady speed of 21 mph.

Sunday: The week concludes with clear, sunny skies. Temperatures will range between 32°C and 20°C, and humidity will register at 44%. There is a minimal 7% chance of rain, and winds will be strong again at 24 mph.

Comparison to Previous Period: The previous week experienced cooler temperatures, with highs that rarely exceeded 27°C. Rain was more frequent, alongside higher humidity levels. This upcoming week marks a noticeable change to hotter and sunnier conditions, reminiscent more of a Mediterranean climate.

Commuting Advice: Commuters are advised to wear light clothing and remain hydrated throughout the week due to the higher temperatures. Those cycling or walking should take advantage of morning commutes before the midday heat, and ensure sun protection.

Advice for Weekend Plans: With ideal weather conditions predicted for Saturday and Sunday, outdoor activities such as picnics, visits to parks, or outdoor dining could be well enjoyed. Clear skies and warm temperatures provide perfect opportunities to explore local attractions in the capital.
