We are seeking a highly organised and compliance-focused Software Asset Manager to lead the strategic transformation of our SAM function and lead the governance, optimisation, and life cycle management of software assets across our EMEA offices.

This role will lead the modernisation of SAM practices, tools, and governance to ensure compliance, optimise software spend, and align with evolving business and technology landscapes. This role ensures that software usage is compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in enterprise-scale software asset management (SAM) within the banking or financial services sector and a strong understanding of regional compliance standards.

  • Design and define Software Lifecycle Policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Embed compliance frameworks for onboarding, usage, renewals, and decommissioning.
  • Oversee the end-to-end life cycle of software assets, including procurement, deployment, usage tracking, renewal, and retirement.
  • Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices, especially related to software asset management.
  • Proven knowledge of software licensing models (SaaS, perpetual, subscription, cloud-based).
  • Ability to analyse software asset data and make informed decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address issues related to software tracking and compliance.
