Business Systems Analyst - London Market Insurance

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Type: Permanent

A Business Systems Analyst/Business Analyst is required for a Specialty Insurer in the London Market to support the delivery of technology solutions across underwriting, claims, and regulatory functions.

This is a key role for someone with strong systems knowledge and a background in London Market insurance, looking to join a business that is investing in digital transformation.

The organisation are a newer business in the London Market, having started a process of expansion in London. They are looking to continue this expansion of their technology arm so you would be joining at a pivotal moment as they build their London IT capabilities. The role will require you to be very familiar with a specialty insurance organisation, working closely with data scientist, actuarial and underwriters, gathering business requirements and translating those into functional workflows and platform enhancements, as well as supporting the systems integration.

Coming from an insurance environment you will be familiar with insurance platforms within the Lloyd's Market or technology applications specific to insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business requirements across underwriting and claims.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and workflows.
  • Support system integration, data migration, and platform enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with Lloyd's, LMA, and FCA regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and business stakeholders.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Business or Systems Analyst in the London Market.
  • Strong understanding of platforms such as PPL, ECF, Lloyd's systems.
  • Experience with system design, data mapping, and integration.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, ITIL, or PMP are a plus.
