Shift Engineer

- Carry out PPMs and reactive maintenance on all M&E systems across the site
- Respond to breakdowns, swiftly remedy plant faults/defects, and keep systems in serviceable order
- Use BMS to monitor building conditions and maintain internal environmental standard
- Manage and monitor subcontractors, ensuring compliance and safe working practices
- Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks
- Operate the Permit to Work system in line with site procedures
- Ensure accurate completion of job records, reports, and CMMS updates
- Maintain clean and secure plant rooms, presenting a professional image at all times
- Proactively highlight improvements and support KPI/SLA delivery
- Contribute to near miss reports, risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience in building services/critical environments (UPS, generators, LV, HVAC etc.)
- Good knowledge of BMS operation and alarm management
- Strong awareness of health & safety and safe systems of work
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence (if mobile role)
