Job Title: Freelance Security Installation Engineer (with AV experience)

Location: London & Surrounding Areas

Day Rate: Negotiable (Freelance/Contract Basis)

About the Role: On behalf of our client, a provider of security and AV solutions, we are seeking experienced Freelance Security Installation Engineers to support ongoing projects across London. The role is security-focused (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms) with occasional AV installation work.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled engineers looking for flexible freelance assignments with a competitive, negotiable day rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and maintain CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems

  • Provide system testing, fault-finding, and ongoing support

  • Install and integrate AV systems where required (displays, projectors, speakers, etc.)

  • Ensure all work meets health & safety and compliance standards

  • Deliver a professional service on-site, representing our client to a high standard

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in security system installation and commissioning

  • Working knowledge of AV installations desirable

  • Own tools, transport, and PPE essential

  • Relevant industry certifications (ECS/CSCS, IPAF, manufacturer training) preferred

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
