Commercial Gas Engineer£50,000 - £56,000 London We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a large engineering team, covering multiple commercial office spaces across London. You'll play a key role in ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant, and energy-efficient while working as part of a supportive and skilled facilities team. The Role: As a Commercial Gas Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Planned preventative maintenance on commercial gas and HVAC systems.
  • Reactive repairs and emergency callouts across a portfolio of offices.
  • Installation and commissioning of new gas equipment where required.
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics on boilers, burners, and associated plant.
  • Ensuring compliance with gas safety regulations and company standards.
  • Working closely with the wider FM team to maintain efficient building operations.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Gas qualifications (e.g. COCN1, CCN1, TPCP1A).
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience working within commercial FM/building services.
Package:
  • £50,000 - £56,000
  • Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
  • Travel Time Paid
  • 1-in-8 on Call rota (£120 standby)
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.

Must have FM & Maintenance experience. Static or Mobile. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works. • Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is recorded on our CAFM system. • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times. • Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times. • Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance. • Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate. • To ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation. • Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPIs/SLAs. • Ensure system is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured. • Any other task as directed by the management team. Maintain contractor attendance records, produce subcontractor reports, and manage permit archiving for audits. Attend project meetings to review upcoming permit requests and workloads. Monitor contractors' activities to ensure compliance with procedures and safety standards. Coordinate works between internal shift teams, management, client operations, and facilities staff. Prepare Method of Procedures (MOPs) and support enabling works, surveys, and system isolations.
