Job Title: Projects Permit Co-ordinatorLocation: London, UKSalary: £55,000 per annumContract Type: Full-timeSector: Data Centre Solutions/Critical Work Environment Role OverviewWe are seeking a Projects Permit Co-ordinator to join a leading organisation within the data centre and critical environments sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and administering the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient project delivery across a high-profile data centre environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and administer the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring approvals are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain contractor attendance records, produce subcontractor reports, and manage permit archiving for audits.
- Attend project meetings to review upcoming permit requests and workloads.
- Monitor contractors' activities to ensure compliance with procedures and safety standards.
- Coordinate works between internal shift teams, management, client operations, and facilities staff.
- Prepare Method of Procedures (MOPs) and support enabling works, surveys, and system isolations.
- Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Well-organised with effective task management and communication skills (written & verbal).
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
- Professional, proactive, and reliable with high integrity and punctuality.
- Recognised qualification to at least City & Guilds Level 3, BTEC, ONC or HNC in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office and report-writing skills.
- High Voltage industry-recognised training and valid certification.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.
- City & Guilds in Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years in FM/building services, including at least 1 year in construction.
- Experience in critical environments, with knowledge of high-risk permits (eg, LV/HV isolations, hot works, confined spaces).
- At least 3 years in a data centre environment, familiar with SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, OEMs, S-MOPs, CEPs and SoS processes.
- Experience with risk mitigation documentation and systems.
- Availability to work outside normal hours and weekends when required.
- Commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards.
