Job Advertisement: BIM Technician - ICT & AV Focused

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a BIM Technician with a strong focus on ICT and AV systems to join its growing digital design team. This hybrid role is based in the City of London, with a working pattern of 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

The successful candidate will contribute to a range of high-profile Healthcare, Education, Residential, and Commercial projects, supporting the delivery of coordinated, data-rich models and documentation.

• Develop and maintain BIM models with a focus on ICT and AV design elements.

• Support project teams in delivering high-quality digital outputs and coordinated design information.

• Contribute to model federation and ensure compliance with project BIM standards.

• Assist in creating, managing, and auditing models throughout project stages.

• Work closely with engineers and designers to integrate ICT and AV requirements into building systems.

• Facilitate smooth workflows within Common Data Environments (CDEs).

• Support clash detection processes and ensure issues are tracked and resolved.

• Assist in developing automation tools and scripts to improve BIM efficiency where appropriate.

• Experience working as a BIM Technician within the built environment.

• Strong understanding of ICT and AV systems within construction projects.

• Proficiency with industry-standard BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks).

• Familiarity with clash detection, CDE workflows, and automation tools.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and coordinate across disciplines.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

• 30,000 - 40,000, depending on experience.

• Hybrid working model (City of London office).
