IBA Specialist / Hybrid / City of London / £40-£45k

Your new company Hays are working with an insurance firm who are looking to expand their IBA function. You will play a vital part in managing financial operations related to insurance broking accounts. This position will be reporting to the IBA manager and is a great opportunity to join an experienced finance team in order to make an immediate impact and provide exceptional services to their clients. Your new role

  • Be at the forefront of all insurance broking accounting activities
  • Manage client accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions
  • Perform regular reconciliations of client and insurer accounts (bordereaux) whilst identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Utilise Excel to analyse financial data, generate reports and support decision-making processes
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, particularly those specific to the Lloyd's of London market
  • Work closely with the team to identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient and effective solutions
  • Assist the IBA Manager with various tasks, including financial planning, budgeting, and audit preparation
  • What you'll need to succeed
    • 3+ years experience working within IBA.
    • Experience of the Lloyds of London Market
    • Strong excel skills
