Senior Claims Adjuster - Engineering & Construction (CAR/EAR) London Hybrid working Competitive salary + benefits

We're seeking an experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to join a dynamic team focused on Contractors All Risks (CAR) and Erection All Risks (EAR) claims. This is a key role with responsibility for managing complex First and Third Party Liability claims from first notification through to settlement and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle CAR/EAR claims from FNOL to resolution

• Assess coverage, investigate cause of loss, and determine claim validity

• Lead negotiations and manage settlements within authority limits

• Set accurate and timely reserves

• Engage with loss adjusters, brokers, MGAs, TPAs, and legal experts

• Collaborate closely with Underwriters, Risk Managers, and internal teams

• Maintain accurate data entry and support MI/reporting processes

• Contribute to departmental projects and process improvements

What We're Looking For:

• Solid experience handling Third Party Liability CAR/EAR claims

• Exposure to the London Company Market and engineering-related claims

• Familiarity with JCT, LEG, and DE wordings

• Understanding of current regulation, market practices, and case law

• Skilled in communication, negotiation, and technical report writing

• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail

• Proficient in claims portals and Microsoft Office

• A levels (or equivalent) minimum; further qualifications beneficial
