Cedar is currently partnered with a venture capital-backed Consumer business to secure an Interim Head of Finance, based in Central London. This is an interim role offering a 650 - 800 per day (Inside IR35) and the opportunity to shape the financial future of a fast-scaling, innovative business.
The CompanyThis VC-backed Consumer business is experiencing significant commercial success, have a strong brand identity and loyal customer base. Currently pursuing Series C fundraising, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic finance leader to join their London-based team.
The RoleAs Interim Head of Finance, you will:
- Oversee financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
- Lead month-end close processes, reconciling all transactions efficiently.
- Drive technical reporting compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
- Support FP&A functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide commercial financial insights that drive business growth.
- Manage and mentor the operational finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Your ProfileYou will ideally have:
- A formal accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, preferably within consumer goods or ecommerce.
- Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS.
- A proven track record of process improvement and financial controls.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
- Availability to begin immediately or at short notice.
- Previous experience within interim roles is desired but not essential.
- The day rate of 650 - 800 per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
