What You'll Do* Oversee annual/periodic regulatory and internal AFC reporting for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance; prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and committee papers communicating risks, trends, and decisions* Direct end-to-end risk assessment cycles, including data gathering, quantitative/qualitative analysis, risk narratives, stakeholder validation, thematic reviews, and continuous improvements* Lead AFC policy/standards refresh programme and support European AFC Framework enhancements, ensuring alignment with regulations, global standards, and ongoing updates* Serve as resource for AML/CTF, Sanctions, ABAC, and Anti-Tax Evasion across European entities; interpret regulatory changes, operationalize requirements, support readiness/audit activities, and foster 1LoD/2LoD relationships for transparency and escalation* Contribute to testing/monitoring activities, thematic reviews, and issue identification; produce insight-led reporting on gaps/risks; track/validate sustainable remediations; maintain high-quality documentation like process maps and audit evidence* Offer subject-matter input to ensure financial crime risks are addressed in new processes/systems/products; support governance via papers, updates, risk logs, and reporting; participate in working groups and embed updated operating models
What You Bring* Demonstrated experience in risk issue management* Proven experience in FCA reporting governance and risk management, including drafting board/senior-level reports and leading governance forums* Holder of relevant Financial Crime certifications* Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, Sanctions, ABAC, Anti-Tax Evasion, and wider financial crime risk frameworks* Excellent written/verbal communication for governance/risk/policy drafting; detail-oriented and organized under pressure; pragmatic regulatory interpretation
