First Achieve Engineering are proud to be working with an innovative green-tech business, developing a platform that combines financial and energy data to accelerate renewable adoption. With rapid growth ahead, they are now seeking a Compliance & Risk Specialist to take ownership of compliance and risk management across the business.

The Opportunity

This is a key hire where you'll ensure compliance with UK/EU standards across finance, data protection, and sustainability reporting, while embedding governance into every part of the product and business operations. It's a chance to shape and lead compliance strategy in a company with a strong mission and ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

Lead compliance activity across GDPR, FCA, and ESG frameworks

Design and manage risk frameworks for financial reporting and energy data

Conduct internal audits and support external regulatory reviews

Deliver compliance training and guidance across teams

Work closely with IT and Finance to integrate compliance into product development and governance

What We're Looking For

4+ years' experience in compliance, audit, or risk management

Strong working knowledge of GDPR, FCA regulations, and ESG standards

Background in finance, fintech, SaaS, or similar regulated industries

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to draft clear policies and advise stakeholders
