GALENT are recruiting for an exciting opportunity suitable for an experienced Assistant Accountant within the media production industry based in Central London.

You will be supporting a stable finance team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, working alongside experienced senior finance professionals, including a CFO and FD with strong media backgrounds. This role offers clear opportunities to develop your career into a Management Accountant position. The company provides study support, pension, private health tbc, bonus potential (5-10%), life insurance, and 25 days holiday, 3 days hybrid in the office.

You will:

• Manage core finance duties, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, cash flow, and expense management.
• Support the production of monthly management accounts and VAT submissions.
• Assist with onboarding, payroll setup, and general office administration.
• Work closely with senior leadership to reconcile job actuals and streamline processes.

The ideal Assistant Accountant will possess the following attributes/skills:

• Solid understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and expenses.
• Confidence to hit the ground running with transactional accounting.
• An active CIMA/ACCA studier who is ambitious and eager to progress (desirable not essential).
• Previous experience in the media or TV production industry is desirable.
• Familiarity with Xero accounting software is a plus.
