The work includes lots of non-traditional solution driven temporary works design in specialist areas, such as major building fa ade retentions and complicated London building schemes. You will be involved in design for hoardings, barriers, formwork, scaffolding hoists, fabrication design, connection design, Cat 3 checks, heavy temporary works and all sorts of exciting challenges. Projects are large buildings schemes on complex sites. The role will include dealing with contractors and visits to sites whilst receiving full support towards securing chartered status. The role suits an ambitious, forward thinking, flexible structural engineer who is a good communicator and possesses a creative mindset. The capability to absorb new information, adaptability and problem solving capabilities are key. Projects are highly varied and often solutions using first principles are needed. A 2.1, or better, degree from a good University is preferred. This role is aimed at an engineer with several years of design experience, either in permanent work or temporary works, who is keen to learn and progress.
