A leading UK M&E Contractor is actively seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their team on a high-profile 45 million commercial office and mixed-use development in Central London. This design & build project includes both shell & core and high-end fit-out phases, representing a major opportunity to take ownership of a complex and prestigious scheme from pre-construction through to completion.

This is a long-term role offering career stability, progression to Project Management, and the chance to work alongside Tier One principal contractors on one of the capital's landmark developments.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical project engineering roles
  • Track record of delivering large-scale electrical packages ( 20m+) from inception to handover
  • Experience working for a Tier One M&E subcontractor is essential
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and mixed-use project delivery
  • Desire for career progression and long-term stability within a growing business

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review and interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, and scope documentation
  • Liaise with consultants, BIM teams, and the client to ensure technical coordination
  • Support value engineering exercises to drive efficiencies during delivery
  • Oversee on-site electrical works including LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, containment, and life safety systems
  • Ensure installations meet all quality, programme, and regulatory expectations
  • Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Review and implement RAMS, method statements, and health & safety documentation
  • Monitor subcontractor progress and quality to ensure programme milestones are met
  • Assist with procurement including material take-offs and technical submittals
  • Raise and track RFIs to resolution and attend coordination/progress meetings
  • Support testing, commissioning, and successful handover of electrical systems
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure all electrical works are CDM-compliant
