Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer Building Services / FM

Location: City of London Salary: £45,000 Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days Only Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a versatile and experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join a leading FM provider, supporting the delivery of technical services across a high-profile commercial site. This role is ideal for an engineer with both electrical and mechanical expertise, seeking a stable day-shift pattern and a dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems
• Maintain HVAC systems, lighting, pumps, boilers, AHUs, and fan coil units
• Conduct fault finding and repairs across building services infrastructure
• Operate and monitor BMS systems to ensure optimal building performance
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
• Liaise with subcontractors and support site operations

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (dual-skilled preferred)
• Proven experience in building services within commercial FM environments
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Additional certifications (e.g. F-Gas, Legionella, 18th Edition) are advantageous
