I'm currently working on a great contract opportunity for a Fire Suppression Design Engineer to support the redesign of a specialist water mist system in a high-spec data centre environment.

Job Opportunity: Fire Suppression Design Engineer - Water Mist Systems

Location: Park Royal (near Wembley) for the survey phase, then remote for design work Contract: 2-3 months Immediate start within 2-3 weeks Strong potential for extension Sector: Fire Suppression / Water Mist Systems Project Focus: Mapping and redesigning an existing water mist system using current pipework

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working onsite with engineers to map out the existing water mist system

  • Recording pipe route runs, sizes, and layout of current infrastructure

  • Redesigning the system in AutoCAD, reusing existing pipework

  • Completing the design work remotely following the initial site phase

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience with fire suppression systems - water mist or sprinkler-based

  • Strong AutoCAD skills and understanding of pipe layouts

  • Comfortable working a split schedule (onsite and remote)

  • Valid driving licence or passport required (CSCS not accepted)

  • Prior experience working in clean commercial environments (data centres, food industry, museums, hotels, etc.)
