Drainage and Wastewater Design Engineer

Join a leading UK-based consultancy specializing in non-infrastructure projects for Water Companies. With offices in Glasgow, across the North of England and London, my Client is at the forefront of delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for the water industry.

As a Drainage and Wastewater Design Engineer, you will:

  • Design wastewater infrastructure with a focus on Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) and Shaft Tanks.
  • Develop wastewater non-infrastructure designs to meet client and regulatory requirements.
  • Create SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) and traditional drainage designs for a variety of projects.
  • Design water non-infrastructure systems, ensuring efficiency and sustainability.
  • Work on potable water infrastructure design, delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Retrofit SuDS and drainage solutions to remove surface water from existing networks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in wastewater infrastructure design, particularly CSOs and Shaft Tanks.
  • Expertise in wastewater non-infrastructure design.
  • Strong knowledge of SuDS and traditional drainage design principles.
  • Experience in water non-infrastructure and potable water infrastructure design.
  • A track record of retrofitting SuDS and drainage solutions to existing networks.
  • A degree of HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
