Associate Electrical Design Engineer - D&B Contractor City of London, UK Up to 90,000 + 5,000 Car Allowance + Travel Paid + Bonus (Up to 10%) This leading M&E D&B Contractor is seeking an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to lead and manage its expanding electrical design team. This role presents an opportunity to join a market-leading M&E contractor, working on high-profile projects across the commercial office and data centre sectors. The Opportunity: Leadership Role - The design department currently consists of 16 top quality engineers, with plans to expand to 20 this year. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and developing the electrical team. Prestigious Projects - They specialise in cutting-edge commercial office developments, including some of London's most high-profile projects, as well as large-scale data centre projects across Europe. Comprehensive Package - A competitive salary, a car allowance, all travel expenses covered, and a performance-based bonus (capped at 10%). Collaborative Environment - Work alongside top industry professionals in a fast-paced and supportive workplace. Key Responsibilities The Associate Electrical Design Engineer will: Lead and manage the electrical design team, ensuring technical excellence and innovation. Oversee the design and delivery of major commercial office and data centre projects. Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure the seamless execution of projects. Play a pivotal role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing the team to uphold high standards of design. Be primarily based in the London office (5 days per week), with 2 days per month working from home. Candidate Requirements Extensive experience in electrical design for major commercial and/or data centre projects. Proven leadership skills, with a history of managing and developing teams. Strong knowledge of design software and industry regulations. Ability to manage multiple projects while liaising effectively with key stakeholders. This is a critical leadership position within a growing company, offering the chance to work on some of the most prestigious projects in the industry. Benefits Basic salary + 5,000 car allowance (paid as salary). Travel paid to and from the office everyday. Bonus (capped at 10% annually). 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays. You will be required to manage graduate engineers and technicians and manage your own design schemes. Your engineering, practical and technical knowledge will be of high quality and it is desired that you are an engineer with chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
