Are you passionate about preserving and digitising valuable historical materials? We have an exciting opportunity for a Digitization Assistant to join a renowned institution in London Holborn. Join their innovative team and contribute to the digitization of library and archival materials. This position is an ASAP start, currently for 6 months with a potential of being extended paying 17.60 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake physical collection analysis and prepare materials for digitization
  • Utilise specialist equipment and knowledge to digitise materials
  • Ensure items are photographed/scanned to agreed standards with clear images
  • Manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Keep statistics on work completed and report to the Collections Digitization Manager
  • Participate in group and team meetings

Requirements:

  • Experience in digitization or similar role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficient in using specialised digitization equipment
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
