Randstad is partnering with a leading contractor renowned for their bespoke washroom and joinery solutions. They are seeking a highly competent Working Foreman to lead projects near Camden, ensuring the delivery of high-quality finishes and managing on-site operations.

About Our Client:

Our client is a well-established and reputable contractor that specializes in the design, manufacture, and installation of premium washroom and joinery solutions for commercial clients. They are celebrated for their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and ability to deliver bespoke, high-specification projects.

The Role:

As the Working Foreman, you will be a key figure on site, responsible for the day-to-day management of washroom fit-out projects. This is a hands-on role where you will not only lead the site but also contribute directly to the installation work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all on-site operations for washroom fit-out projects.

  • Actively work on-site, demonstrating high-quality craftsmanship in joinery and fit-out.

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring all works are completed to the required standards.

  • Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.

  • Manage site logistics, including deliveries and material storage.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of workmanship and materials meets specifications.

  • Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, design team, and other stakeholders.

  • Proactively identify and resolve any on-site issues or delays.

  • Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Working Foreman, with a strong background in fit-out and joinery.

  • Essential experience in washroom solutions or similar high-specification, bespoke joinery projects.

  • A trade background in carpentry or joinery is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive, hands-on, and problem-solving approach to site management.

  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations.

  • Valid CSCS card.

  • Valid SMSTS certificate or SSSTS is a plus.

  • Valid First Aid certificate.

  • Must be able to commute to projects in the Camden area.
