Responsibility of the Quantity Surveyor - Structural Specialist:Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring commercial success across a portfolio of Structural projects. This is a key role offering excellent development opportunities within a supportive and driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates for a variety of Structural projects

  • Monitor project budgets and provide regular financial reporting

  • Conduct feasibility studies and advise on project viability and cost planning

  • Liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective solutions

  • Oversee procurement, tendering, and contract negotiation processes

  • Develop and implement effective cost control strategies throughout project life cycles

  • Maintain detailed and accurate project financial records

  • Support and advise on contractual matters, claims, and dispute resolution

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cost management on structural and temporary works projects

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Liaising with project surveyor to assist the PM with the monthly PFR report.- Quality control.- Risk control (programme and commercial)Qualifications/Skills:- HNC/HNC in Building Services Engineering or similar.- CSCS/IOSH/SMSTS.- Experience of working at a senior level on M&E commercial projects, as well as ideally having had responsibility for full contract management.- Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.- Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office.- Be aware of health and safety requirements and the continual assessment/control of risk.- To actively contribute to the team (internal and client team).
