An established global consultancy is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their expanding London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of heritage-led projects across the public sector, with a focus on listed buildings, historic estates, and culturally significant sites.
The Project Manager will lead complex and meaningful commissions, supporting clients in central and local government to deliver sensitive and sustainable developments that protect and enhance the built environment.
As a Project Manager you will work directly with planning authorities, historic environment stakeholders (including Historic England and The Twentieth Century Society), and wider multidisciplinary teams to bring forward schemes that balance heritage value with modern-day use and public benefit.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, designers and key public stakeholders
- Lead heritage-focused projects through the enabling stage and beyond
- Conduct benchmarking and background research to support business cases
- Monitor and report on project progress and performance
- Prepare documentation and presentation materials for client reporting and pitches
- Contribute to wider consultancy objectives, including mentoring junior team members
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects involving listed or historic buildings
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills, especially with public bodies
- Familiarity with JCT or NEC contracts
- Degree qualified in a relevant field such as construction, real estate, planning or engineering
- Working towards or holding MRICS, MCIOB or similar chartership preferred
- Broad understanding of the project lifecycle within public sector environments
- Willingness to travel across London, the South East and Home Counties
In Return:
