Role Overview

The Project Director will take full responsibility for the delivery of major projects, overseeing all aspects of planning, design, construction, and commercial performance. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full project leadership and accountability from inception to completion.

  • Strategic planning and coordination of resources, programme, and budgets.

  • Oversee commercial, contractual, and procurement aspects of projects.

  • Lead project teams, including Project Managers, QSs, and site management.

  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring expectations are met.

  • Risk management and problem-solving to mitigate project challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice across all projects.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years experience in senior project leadership roles with main contractors.

  • Proven delivery of large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.

  • Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent understanding of UK/Ireland construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.) and commercial management.

  • Desirable: experience working on high-value projects (£50m+) and multi-disciplinary teams.
