Title: Intermediate Planning Engineer Location: Central London Salary: 60-80,000 + car allowance + package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Planning Engineer to join a leading UK main contractor based in Central London. They will join an award-winning construction business who boast a solid pipeline of projects ranging from 10-120m across commercial, residential, education, industrial and mixed-use sectors to name a few.

The Intermediate Planning Engineer will be involved at both tender and live project stages, working closely with bid teams, project managers, and site teams to develop robust and realistic programmes using Asta Powerproject.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Planning Engineer with circa four plus years of experience to gained exposure to varied workload and to work alongside a team of Planners in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and update construction programmes during tender and contract delivery phases
  • Liaise with estimators, design managers, and operational teams to plan project sequencing and logistics
  • Produce and present programme updates and look-aheads
  • Contribute to progress reporting and planning meetings
  • Assist with identifying and mitigating project delays or risks

Candidate

  • A minimum of 3 years' planning experience in the building industry (residential, commercial, or education preferred)
  • Proficient in Asta Powerproject
  • Solid understanding of construction methodology and project sequencing
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Previous experience supporting both pre-construction and live delivery phases is highly desirable
