On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Senior Data Architect (Inside IR35) for a 3 month hybrid contract based 1 or 2 days per week in any MoJ office. An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. (Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.) As a Senior Data Architect this role sits within the Data Architecture team in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and will work closely work with the Security Assurance Team within MoJ Information Security Team. You will lead the discovery, architecture and design activities required to support a Service Mapping initiative. The objective of the project is to map all key services (like OneTrust, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Ardoq, etc.) used across the MoJ and to show how they connect with different business areas, systems and suppliers into a dynamic, interactive dashboard that illustrates risks. Key deliverables will include data discovery and mapping, target data architecture and pipeline design, standardised data models and reporting/dashboard structures. Skills and Experience. Significant experience leading data architecture engagements within large, complex organisations, preferably within government organisations.. Strong experience conducting discovery activities and translating business requirements into target state architecture.. Experience designing data integration solutions across multiple systems and data sources.. Experience defining target data models and integration approaches for enterprise-wide reporting and analytics.. Strong data modelling skills, including conceptual and logical data modelling.. Strong understanding of AWS and modern cloud-based platforms.. Ability to engage effectively with business, technical and security stakeholders.. Excellent communication skills and ability to produce high quality architecture artefacts. Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
